The Business Coaching Certificate Program
This program has provided full professional training for nearly 300 coaches in 18 cohorts in the RTP and Charlotte, North Carolina. The program was founded in 2002 by Brian and Lou Raye Nichol who have since retired. Sackeena Gordon-Jones, PCC has taken over the helm and lead a team of seasoned coaches who bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to participants as specialist presenters and mentor coaches. Matthew Kersey is an ICF credential coach, who serves as core faculty.

Sackeena Gordon-Jones, Ph.D., MCC
Sackeena Gordon-Jones has been coaching professionally since 2003 in leadership development, transformational change, executive effectiveness, and strategic thinking and planning. She has coached hundreds of leaders, high potentials and professional women in the private sector and federal government. She mentors coaches pursuing ICF credentials. She is a founding member and president of Transformation Edge; a coaching and consulting practice specializing in leadership and organization coaching and coach training. She earned her coach certification from Duke University and CTI.
Sackeena helps leaders to develop their authentic presence, to have effective conversations that lead to improved collaboration and performance, and to acquire the competencies to articulate vision, align team, generate engagement and execute strategically. She is an international presenter, speaker, and leadership development facilitator. She inspires change through her published articles, radio appearances and “Empower your life” workshops. Sackeena has developed and facilitated ICF related coach training programs for aspiring professional coaches. Her curriculums range from fundamental level coaching skills, to more advanced competence training.
Previously she was Director of Global Learning and Development for a multi-national software company. Earlier in her career she served as consultant and strategic advisor for both public and private sector organizations. She is a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF), 2011-13 president of the ICF, Raleigh chapter, 2013 member of the ICF Southeast Region Advisory Council, and holds the ICF credential of Professional Certified Coach (PCC). Sackeena received the 2013 Inspired Leadership ‘Flame Award’ from ICF-RAC.

Dr. Matthew Kersey is a Senior Director at Stiefel, a GSK company, and is passionate about coaching people to higher performance. Matthew collaborates with scientists and leaders across the globe to develop new medicines and is currently leading the transformation of his department to more effectively develop novel medicines for dermatological diseases.
Matthew is a graduate of the NC State University Business Coaching program and is credentialed through the Inter- national Coach Federation. Matthew coaches within GSK and founded
MTK Business Coaching, Inc. He has coached fascinating people in the U.S., UK, China, and Latin America.
Matthew received his B.A. in Chemistry from The College of the Holy Cross and his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Duke University.
